It is time to Spring into action. It is interesting how seasons and weather are integral roles in our moods and happiness. Spring is the perfect season for cleaning and getting clarity to simplify your life. I am not sure how you feel, but lately cleaning house and decluttering have been on my mind. It’s given me an awesome feeling of making room for new things and new opportunity to come into my life. Take some time each day and tackle a small space. For example, start with your silverware drawer or a coat closet. Work your way around the house every day for 20-30 minutes a day and you should be feeling lighter by the start of summer!


The spring weather is so unpredictable, we must work to push through whatever it may bring us. Pay attention to your eating habits for the changing seasons. As a general rule, you should eat foods that are in season, which will balance out your internal state. This is the time of year for new growth. Eating foods according to the season will help to prevent illness and and promote balance in your body for optimal health.

Spend time outdoors and take advantage of the changing seasons. Nature has a way of making people feel calm, and exercising outside can strengthen that effect. Exercising can bring new focus and thoughts for those of us lacking motivation from being cooped up all winter long. Try taking a walk on your lunch break or grab a friend and sign up for tennis lessons. If you can’t get outside everyday, I highly suggest diffusing oils. Lavender, bergamot, and citrus are some of our favorite oils to diffuse this time of year.
